Ok, let me describe my week.

I am 22, almost 23, for all purposes I feel like I'm 16 again. Tomorrow is Summer Slaughter, and Wednesday I go home for 2 weeks. I am on top of my world.
Warped Tour 09
We will do a formal review and everything, this will be in August. Unfortunately we don't get to cover Bad Religion, The Ataris, Anti-flag, or one of my favorite surprises, THE BLACKOUT. First off, these bands are lighter on the scale than what I typically indulge in, but so what, I respect talented musicians. This band was incredible, please, if you are at Warped Tour the next few days, do yourself the favor, stick around for a song or two. I was impressed, their sound was tight, and god damn, they knew how to perform.
ALEXISONFIRE - I TAKE BACK ANY SCOFFING I MAY HAVE DONE, WOW! I am amazed at how well they sounded and for a band I had earlier counted out, they came together and dispelled any doubts I had. Incredible energy, charged stage show, I stumbled upon them the first day and they were so compelling that they got me to come back the very next show. Treat yourself a little
A Day To Remember
GET TO THE HURLEY STAGE EARLY! This is the band that blew up under our noses, their success is charging forward at mach speed and they will remain strong forever. I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW BIG THEIR CROWD WAS! I could look around in Pomona and see three different mosh pits from where I was standing. They will be back here in LA, make plans to see them. Bad Religion is not playing LA, you have nothing better to see when they get on.
Now the bands you will not see in California again. Nearly an hour of anti-flag is not nearly enough, EVEN FOR 2 DAYS! I want an hour and a half minimum! We didn't get to Emigre, Confessions of An Economic Hitman, Stars And Stripes, Angry Young And Poor, Rank N File, You Can Kill The Protestor But Can't Kill The Protest, One People One Struggle, The WTO Kills Farmers, Death of A Nation. FOR FUCK'S SAKE, WE GOT THE NUMBERS! Anti-Flag is BY FAR one of the greatest punk bands of all time, notice I am listing a laundry list of what I still want to hear after two shows of seeing em.
BAD RELIGION
I am going to sit in Greg Graffin's class this fall for one class... or until he realizes I don't go to UCLA, whichever comes first. One of my favorite bands from high school, still that cool to see them in full form. Two different days, I heard different songs on both. Can't wait till 2010 for their new album.
